Cobalt Summer Eyes Tutorial

Summer is a season for color! Whether you’re looking for wearable mermaid makeup or a daytime blue smoky look, these cobalt summer eyes are just what you need. The warm crease shade complements the vibrant blue lid for an eye statement that pops.

How-to: Cobalt Summer Eyes

1. Using the Eye Blender and Contour Kit in medium to dark, thoroughly blend contour 2 through the crease. Select a shade darker and warmer than your natural skin tone. The Contour Kit is great to work with because you can use it on your cheeks and eyes!
2. Apply Jeweled Eye Pencil in cobalt directly to the lid, careful not to go into the crease. This color primer will give the blue shadow an amplified, multi-dimensional look.
3. Blend out the edges with the Crease Brush to soften the color.
4. Take the Crease Brush and apply contour 2 from the Contour Kit in medium to dark to the lower lashline.
5. With the Angled Definer Brush, apply Eye Shadow in mermaid to the lid and blend with the transition shade in the crease. This shade is a deep blue with a touch of green.
6. Bring mermaid to the lower lashline using the Detail Shader Brush for a precise application.
7. Apply Jeweled Eye Pencil in fizz to the inner corners of the eyes to brighten up the look with the Smudge Brush. Layer Eye Shadow in water lily over fizz.
8. Line the waterline with Precision Eye Pencil in peach. Use a skin tone eyeliner on the waterline to make the eyes appear larger.
9. Coat the upper and lower lashes with Volumizing Mascara in black.

Finish off this summer makeup look with a nude lip (try Lipstick in blush) or a bronze lip (try Cream Glaze Crayon in praline). To add drama to the look for a night out, add winged liner to the upper lashline or swap out the peach eyeliner for black in the waterline.
